There is an old fortress called Christianity, where men could proclaim their faith saying they are Christians. However, in today’s world with so many denominations, it seems too simple, or rather associating with Protestantism or even heresy.

Stand with me today, where we can say, I am a Christian. For upon being asked for legitimacy: Are you orthodox? Are you Catholic? Are you Pentecostal? Each of which demanding its own answer, may we hold up the flag of the Lord, an old fire upon our torch, that I am a Christian!

For did not St. Paul say, are you baptized in the name of Paul? Was Paul crucified for you? So speaking he shows us, not to identify as one sect or another but as members of the body of Christ, his very limbs. Did not St. Athanasius himself say the same of heretics, who, associating with one person or sect of heresy, are prone to new names and leaders, rather than Christ, as Christian?

I am a Christian, I say, and may it be enough, for there is one risen King, and one crucifixion and in his name, the name of Christ, have I been baptized!
