Reality, I wonder what it is...
It's right here. It's this desk. Now go get some coffee and do your work.
But what is it? If it's the desk, then I should look at it and get really in touch with reality.
Why do you want to be in touch with reality?
First, what is it?
It's everything you can see.
What about the thoughts in my head?
Well, maybe, but those can be misrepresentative of what's around you.
But it's still reality.
That's true.
So, reality is everything. And there is nothing that is not reality. For if it were not real or reality, it would be impossible for it to appear or to be, in thought or even physically. So everything is real.
Well, one could say that reality is that which is real physically. For example when you think of a rabbit with wings, that's not real, though the thought is real.
That's an ambiguous term, a logical fallacy. The thought is real because it's a thought but it may or may not correspond to a certain type of reality which is physical creation.
Sure, but the bunny doesn't exist.
You're right, but now there are two definitions of reality. One is about objectively what exists and another about the correspondence of the physical world with the thoughts in our head.
Hmm, then let's define it.
First, go get me coffee, and do my work today.
Ok, don't smack the desk or else you'll be trapped in one definition of reality only.
