Psychiatrist: I put em on meds, now I feel safe.
Judge: Oh, I put mine on a restraint, and put him on the bad list, now I can walk around and feel confident.
Psychiatrist: Yeah, it’s like the same. You use the law, I use mental health.
Judge: But psychiatry is for health, not for you. I’m responsible for dangerous threats.
Psychiatrist: Oh, but you are responsible for justice, not maintaining your subjective sense of safety!
Judge: Well, you should just give em to me if they’re a threat. And, it’s more like what you do sometimes with your pills. You can take em down after.
Psychiatrist: You also should give your defendants and plaintiffs to me. I can help them with their health.
Judge: But they’re criminals.
Psychiatrist: As long as we’re safe, it’ll be ok.
Judge: Well, I think you’re abusing your clients. And weaponizing medication!
Psychiatrist: I think you’re abusing the law and weaponizing your position as a justice for personal gain!
