Many do not recognize that America was not built on the foundation of those who inhabited it before and even during the time of the revolution. The French as pivotal figures in the American revolution and many other supporting immigrant peoples sealed the American victory when there was none. Particularly and unrecognizably, a Polish merchant by the name of Haym Salomon, who with his entire wealth financed the armies of the revolution, and not only this, but funded the budding congress, and also being an immigrant from Poland to New York City thereafter dying nearly penniless.

One statement was given to this man, whose wealth was placed into the Revolutionary War and its cause, the debt that was never returned to him, dying nearly forgotten but with a line in the newspaper of the time, the Philadelphia Journal, “On Thursday died Haym Salomon, a broker.”

Let us remember the silent and forgotten powers that supported this nation with an ideal, the ideal of a melting pot, which followed for centuries after, which now Trump has decided to cast down and destroy in the name of radical, violent, discriminatory, racist, and obscene anarchical use of military - 1,500 military soldiers to stop mere protests against abusive and fatally violent federal immigration officers, managing and stifling access to and finding and making a home in the US.

The metaphor was used and made popular by a play in 1908 in America called the Melting Pot. And as Reagan once said, a president that gave and maintained a flourishing economy and nation like never seen before, "We've always had a love affair with learning in this country. America is a melting pot, and education has been a mainspring for our democracy and freedom, a means of providing gifts of knowledge and opportunity to all citizens, no matter how humble their background, so they could climb higher, help build the American dream, and leave a better life for those who follow.”
